“The DCAC gives students hands-on experience in coding, design, photography, and audio engineering: real-world skills many can’t access through traditional placements. Without DCAC, many ICT students would struggle to meet certification requirements.”

▪ WHY DCAC EXISTS

There’s a Gap
Between Passion
and Opportunity

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t. Many students want to pursue creative and digital careers, but access is unequal.

Equipment is expensive. Programs are limited. Co-op placements in the arts and tech are often hard to find.

DCAC exists to close that gap. We offer real-world workshops, hands-on experience, and access to professional-grade spaces where students can learn, experiment, and grow.

Passion Without a Pathway.

Many creative students can feel what they want to do — but the system doesn’t show them how to get there. There’s no roadmap, no mentorship, no obvious next step. Their passion deserves more than guesswork.

Where Are the Creative Co-ops?

Most co-op placements lead to cash registers or filing cabinets.
Meanwhile, students interested in film, music, or design are left out, with no hands-on experience in the fields that excite them most.

Creative Services Are Often Unaffordable.

For artists and small orgs, pro-level design or recording can cost too much. DCAC offers accessible services — and lets students build real-world experience at the same time.

“Being part of the Digital Creative Arts Center gave me the opportunity to learn in a hands-on, creative environment that pushed me to explore and develop new skills. One of the highlights for me at the DCAC was working on our Roblox game project. Compared to other co-ops, you get actual experience,
and you get taught by seasoned professionals.
With other co-ops, you tend to observe but don't actually do anything.
